The Doctor of Laws program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (ULAW) stands as one of Vietnam's premier doctoral programs in legal studies. Offering comprehensive training in five specialized fields — Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law, Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law, Economic Law, and International Law — this program caters to individuals passionate about legal research and aspiring to high-level academic or teaching careers in Law. ULAW's doctoral program provides a robust academic foundation and facilitates in-depth research, preparing graduates to make significant contributions to legal scholarship and practice at the highest levels.

Program Structure
The program's structure, developed in compliance with the Ministry of Education and Training's regulations and national standards, is rigorous and flexible. It requires a minimum of 90 credits for students with a master's degree and 120 credits for those with only a bachelor's degree. The curriculum encompasses additional foundational modules, doctoral-level specialized courses, and a doctoral thesis. The program duration is typically 3 years for master's degree holders and 4 years for bachelor's degree holders.

Program Outcomes
Upon completion, graduates of ULAW's Doctor of Laws program achieve the Level 8 standards of the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.
