Master of Laws (LLM)

Overview
The Ho Chi Minh City University of Law stands as the only university in Southern Vietnam offering five LLM programs, making it the premier choice for those seeking to pursue a master's degree in law. The available LLM programs include LLM in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, LLM in Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law, LLM in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law, LLM in Economic Law, and LLM in International Law. Additionally, the program is expected to expand with the introduction of a master’s degree in Economic Management.

Program Structure
Regarding the format and duration of the program, the master's program at ULAW is offered in a full-time format, requiring 60 compulsory credits. Students will complete the program in 1.5 years, equivalent to 3 semesters, with a minimum of 6 months dedicated to thesis completion. The maximum time allowed to complete the course is 3 years, providing students ample opportunity to delve deeply into their studies and achieve the best possible results.

Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the master's program at ULAW, graduates will emerge with advanced legal knowledge and expertise in their chosen field. They will have honed their research and analytical skills, enabling them to conduct independent legal research and construct well-reasoned arguments. Graduates will also be equipped with practical legal expertise, a strong commitment to ethical and professional responsibility, and advanced communication and advocacy skills. Additionally, they will possess a global perspective and cultural competence to excel in their legal careers, whether in academia, private practice, public service, or international organizations.
